Description

The Portland Sheraton at Sable Oaks, a Colwen Hotels property, is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and results-driven General Manager to lead our hotel and team to the next level.

This is an opportunity for a leader who believes the best way to lead is to be present, be engaged, and roll up your sleeves. You won’t be managing from behind a desk. You’ll be visible throughout the hotel, working alongside your team, connecting with guests, solving problems, and making sure every department has what it needs to succeed.

As General Manager, you’ll have a direct impact on guest satisfaction, associate engagement, operational excellence, and financial performance. From Front Office and Housekeeping to Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and Sales, you’ll bring the entire operation together around one goal: delivering an outstanding hotel experience while building a high-performing, engaged team.

What You’ll Do

• Create meaningful training and development opportunities that help associates grow their skills and careers.
• Foster a professional, respectful, collaborative, and fun workplace where people feel valued and empowered to succeed.
• Champion associate recognition and engagement initiatives.
• Build strong relationships across every department and lead with open, consistent communication.
• Conduct daily property walks and inspections to ensure cleanliness, product quality, safety, and service standards are consistently achieved.
• Partner closely with Finance to maintain strong financial discipline, internal controls, and compliance with company policies.
• Ensure consistent adherence to all Sheraton and Colwen Hotels standards.

• Prior brand experience preferred.
