Job summary

Akers Packaging seeks a General Manager to oversee its manufacturing site, uniting sales, production and support functions. You will drive profitability, lead a team of roughly 60 employees with potential expansion to 200, and partner with sales leadership to grow the business.

The role requires strong budgeting and financial analysis, ERP/CRM proficiency and a track record of operational excellence in packaging/manufacturing. Relocation assistance available for candidates outside the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years manufacturing/production experience in corrugated packaging industry.
• 7+ years leading a team.
• Proficient in profit and loss, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Experience with ERP and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a site with ~60 employees, potential growth to 200 with acquisitions and consolidations.
• Integrate sales, production, safety, financials and HR in daily operations.
• Drive efficiency, cost control and profitability across the site.
• Develop new business and manage pipeline with the sales team and client visits.
• Collaborate with leadership to execute corporate strategy and communicate changes to staff.
