Job summary

WeDriveU is seeking a General Manager to lead operations, supervise drivers, and drive strategic account initiatives. You will report to the COO and shape performance metrics, staffing, and compliance across our client accounts.

The role requires a strong leader with decision-making ability, capable of measuring outcomes and guiding teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent stakeholder management is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Operations Management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Work experience in transportation demand management (TDM) preferred.
• Licensed Class B driver endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily driver activities and implement SOPs.
• Be main client contact and participate in meetings.
• Make staffing decisions and communicate with the team.
• Hire, train and develop new drivers.
• Ensure policy compliance across operations.
• Report maintenance issues with vendors.
• Submit and audit onsite records and inspections.
• Reinforce safety and monitor morale.
• Review ridership data and suggest route changes.
• Attend weekly client meetings and act on feedback.

Job Description:

The General Manager will report to the COO and is responsible for managing and developing team members and formulating and executing account strategy. Additionally, this role will require a thoughtful leader and confident decision maker with ability to measure and monitor performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily activities of all drivers and oversee the development and implementation of standard operating procedures as directed by the Client and WeDriveU company policies.
• Be the main point of contact for our client and attend meetings and conference calls as needed.
• Make logistical coverage/staffing decisions and communicate them effectively to the rest of the team (drivers and client management)
• Hire (interviews, road tests, etc.), train and develop new drivers.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies.
• Report and follow up on any maintenance issues with vendor.
• Review documentation to ensure all required onsite records, reports, and inspections (pre/post-trip) are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures.
• Reinforce safety awareness in a manner that promotes cooperation and improved morale.
• Conducts work area inspections and assists in all accident/injury/vehicle damage investigations.
• Analyze and interpret ridership numbers and suggest route changes accordingly.
• Attend weekly client meetings; listen to feedback from client and their employees and react accordingly.

Skills Required and Physical Demands:

• Excellent organization and time management/multi-tasking skills (comfortable in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment, operating at both strategic and tactical levels)
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace andMicrosoft Office
• Ability to work independently and as part of team

Education and Qualifications:

Hard Requirements

• 5+ years' experience Operations Management

Preferred Requirements

• Licensed Class B driver (Passenger and Air brakes endorsement).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Work experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM)
