Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks a General Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for its Paramount and Rialto forging facilities. You will direct safety, quality, production, maintenance, and supply chain, driving an enterprise-wide operating strategy and improvements.

You will lead Lean initiatives, manage budgets and capital plans, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards while developing leadership across teams and locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Minimum 7 years in senior operational leadership roles with direct responsibility for manufacturing performance.
  • Previous General Manager, Plant Manager, Director of Operations, or equivalent leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated P&L responsibility.
  • Experience in forging, aerospace manufacturing, metals manufacturing, or heavy industrial operations required.
  • Multi-site manufacturing leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading non-union workforces preferred.

Press Forge Co - Located in Paramount, California, Press Forge is a premium supplier of forging services and products to commercial and military aerospace, nuclear, oil and gas exploration, and industrial markets. We are the largest forger in the United States dedicated to the conversion of customer owned material. We are the experts in material conversion and forging of titanium, steel, and high temperature alloys.

American Handforge - Located in Rialto, California, American Handforge specializes in forging Titanium, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and exotic alloys serving multiple markets including aerospace, defense, industrial, electronic, semiconductor, and nuclear industries .

Position Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and financial leadership for both Press Forge and American Handforge facilities. This role directs all aspects of manufacturing operations including safety, quality, production, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and workforce development.

The General Manager is accountable for establishing and executing a unified operating strategy across both facilities while leveraging each site's unique capabilities to maximize performance, optimize capacity utilization, achieve business objectives, and maintain industry-leading customer service. This position serves as the senior operational leader for both locations and is responsible for driving a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, employee engagement, and accountability.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Complies with PCC Code of Conduct requirements.
  • Ensures a safe, productive, and positive working environment across both facilities.
  • Provides leadership and direction to all plant leadership team members including Operations, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, EH&S, Human Resources, and Customer Service.
  • Establishes operational standards and performance expectations for safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and employee engagement.
  • Develops and executes short and long-term business strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Directs all manufacturing, forging, material conversion, maintenance, and support operations across both locations.
  • Leads Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, waste reduction, and productivity initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Oversees production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and capacity utilization to support customer requirements.
  • Drives consistent use of structured problem-solving methodologies and root cause corrective actions.
  • Develops and manages annual operating budgets and capital investment plans.
  • Maintains full profit and loss accountability for both facilities.
  • Identifies and implements cost reduction opportunities while maintaining quality and delivery commitments.
  • Builds, develops, and mentors high-performing leadership teams.
  • Drives succession planning, employee development, and organizational capability building.
  • Collaborates with commercial teams to strengthen customer relationships and support growth opportunities.
  • Serves as the executive point of contact for key customers, suppliers, community representatives, and business partners.
  • Leads facility-wide communication initiatives and promotes alignment across both operations.
  • Develops and implements strategic capital projects and facility improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, Local, and Company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of forging, material conversion, and metals manufacturing operations.
  • Strong understanding of titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, steel, nickel, cobalt, and specialty alloy processing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing operating budgets and profitability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational development skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic business initiatives.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience driving culture change and employee engagement initiatives.

For informational purposes only, the range for annual base salary for this role is $230000 to $280000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Executive Bonus Plan, paid out up to 30% of the applicable annual base salary, based on the Company’s performance in the prior calendar year. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.

The position will be eligible to participate in the Company’s Long-Term Incentive Program
