Journeyman's Featherbone Factory located in Three Oaks, Michigan, is seeking a General Manager to lead all things hospitality. This includes our Staymaker full-service restaurant, private events, retail, and tours. The General Manager will build and maintain the service hospitality culture while ensuring smooth, efficient, and profitable operations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

HAPPY PEOPLE

  • Implement strategic plans to achieve objectives in alignment with broader organizational strategies.
  • Ensure positive relationships with tenants, guests, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage a team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Execute menus according to established standards.
  • Conduct the Journeyman Employee Ecosystem as per the process with every direct report.
  • Manage the resourcing of roles within the department with a focus on cultural fit.
  • Coach team members to effectively complete tasks, communicate effectively with other stakeholders, and grow their skills.
  • Oversee performance management of direct reports including terminations, ensuring positive and respectful relationships are maintained.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • Oversee budget including expensesand staffing.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Analyze financial performance metrics.
  • Streamline operational processes and workflows.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels.
  • Analyze data to anticipate operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Review Scorecard Metrics and provide reports and updates to leadership and key stakeholders.

WELCOMING SPACES

  • Establish and maintain a welcoming ambiance, considering the preferences and needs of the target audience.
  • Enforce rigorous cleaning and maintenance protocols.
  • Adhere to measures which ensure guest safety.
  • Encourage guest interactionand engagement.
  • Solicit feedback from guests regarding their experience of the property’s spaces.
  • Provide managers and the service team with consistent messaging.
