Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a senior leader to provide full profit-and-loss leadership for an independent, market-driven manufacturing operation in Ohio, overseeing Manufacturing, Engineering, Inside Sales, and Supply Chain while partnering with corporate HR and Finance.

The role focuses on setting strategic direction, driving performance, cultivating a world-class safety culture, and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver value to customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Full P&L accountability and strategic business planning.
  • Experience with Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven capability to lead safety programs and culture.

This role provides full profit-and-loss leadership for an independent, market-driven manufacturing operation, overseeing Manufacturing, Engineering, Inside Sales, and Supply Chain functions while partnering with corporate teams for HR, and finance.

As a senior leadership team member, the position is responsible for setting strategic direction, driving business performance, aligning cross-functional activities, establishing operational objectives, and communicating business results and future plans to stakeholders.

Description
  • Help shape and execute the organization's strategic vision, long-term objectives, and growth initiatives
  • Champion a world-class safety culture, ensuring employee health, safety, and well-being remain the top operational priority.
  • Lead, develop, and hold direct reports accountable while fostering excellence in planning, execution, communication, and performance management.
  • Drive operational excellence to consistently exceed customer expectations in delivery, quality, service, and engineering support.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve key performance metrics across Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer Service/Inside Sales functions.
  • Partner closely with the commercial team to strengthen market position, support growth initiatives, and enhance competitive differentiation.
  • Foster a highly collaborative, cross-functional culture that promotes effective communication, teamwork, and shared accountability.
  • Provide inspirational leadership that strengthens employee engagement, morale, talent development, and organizational effectiveness at all levels.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring financial discipline and accountability for business results.
  • Evaluate and prioritize capital investment opportunities, developing comprehensive business cases and ROI analyses to support growth and operational efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies, reducing waste, and increasing productivity while controlling costs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and support business development efforts to secure new opportunities.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance organizational policies, procedures, and operational best practices to support business objectives.

Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success in senior-level operational or general management roles with full business accountability.
  • Demonstrated experience leading organizations through periods of significant growth and transformation.
  • Strong track record of developing, implementing, and sustaining a best-in-class safety culture.
  • Experience supporting and leading formal safety programs, training initiatives, and compliance efforts.
  • Background in highly engineered manufacturing environments producing customized or application-specific products.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and experience leading continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Proven success implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and driving operational excellence through continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, recruit, develop, and retain top talent to support organizational growth and succession planning.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate new products, technologies, and market opportunities for strategic fit and profitability.
  • Advanced financial and business management skills, including experience managing P&L performance, cash flow, income statements, and balance sheets
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, product costing, and profitability analysis at both customer and product levels.
  • Decisive and results-oriented leader with the ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
