Job summary

Papa John's is hiring a General Manager to lead daily operations, grow sales, and build a high-performing team. The role requires hands-on operational excellence, strong leadership, accountability, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak business days.

Candidates with pizza experience and previous Papa Johns shift leadership are highly desirable as the team maintains training compliance and drives store performance.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant or retail management experience.
• Pizza experience preferred.
• Previous Papa Johns Shift Leader experience is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak business days.
• High sense of urgency, dependability, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations and ensure excellent customer service.
• Work average 50 hours/week with required presence on peak business days (Halloween, Super Bowl, holidays, long weekends).
• Recruit, train, and develop team members and future Shift Leaders.
• Maintain full training compliance and accurate Pizza Academy records.
• Control food, labor, and mileage costs.
• Complete precise weekly inventory counts and address variances.
• Manage cash handling, deposits, and shift accountability.
• Keep store inspection-ready at all times (cleanliness, dough management, product dating, equipment).
• Oversee cleaning schedules, preventive maintenance, and equipment care.
• Execute local store marketing to drive sales.
