Assistant Manager Responsibilities

• Responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
• Set the example, follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time, and expect the same from the crew.
• Staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, working to a schedule, maintaining a perfect image and adherence to standards, providing great customer service, ensuring attendance and punctuality, overseeing transportation to/from work, maintaining store cleanliness, executing marketing activities, and maximizing profitability.

General Store Team Member Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, the work area, and the walk‑in cooler.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Essential Functions & Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use a calculator).
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and accurate movements.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Driving & Delivery Responsibilities

• Deliver product by car to the door of the customer.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
• Move between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer’s location.
• Climb five or more flights of stairs may be required during delivery.

Physical Demands & Work Conditions

• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, reaching, hand/eye tasks.
• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering product, driving, and couponing.
• Working in indoor temperatures ranging from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F or higher in some areas, as well as hot surfaces/tools from ovens up to 500°F or more.
• Exposure to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters such as walk‑in coolers.
• Use of equipment and tools that require sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
