Job summary

Sports Facilities Management, LLC is seeking a General Manager for Washington Harbour Ice Rink in Washington, DC. This role oversees financial and operating performance, drives profitability, and leads cross-departmental collaboration to meet growth objectives.

The position requires experience in food & beverage, entertainment, and event operations, plus a track record in managing budgets, departments, and strategic initiatives. Travel and leadership development are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Prior responsibility in daily P&L management and budget oversight of $1MM or greater.
• Proven management and leadership experience in the food and beverage, recreational, and entertainment industry.
• Operational knowledge of F&B, entertainment, and sport clubs as well as parties, corporate events, and teambuilding preferred.
• Experience contracting or overseeing others who have sold corporate sponsorships, birthday parties, corporate parties, tournaments, leagues, camps, fitness programming, and other related services preferred.
• Operational knowledge of risk management.
• Sports programming and sports event operations expertise required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operations to evaluate performance and identify cost reduction, program improvement, or policy changes.
• Appoint department heads or managers and delegate responsibilities.
• Coordinate budgetary control systems and administrative processes.
• Direct organizational financial and budget activities to fund operations and increase efficiency.
• Lead human resources activities and high-level staffing decisions.
• Develop and implement organizational policies and strategic objectives.
• Prepare reports on activities, budgets, and compliance.
• Coordinate promotional campaigns and represent the organization at official functions.
