Job summary

AES Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead an Arby’s restaurant in Galax, VA. The GM is responsible for overall performance, including daily operations, financial results, staffing, guest satisfaction, food safety, and compliance.

The ideal candidate has strong quick-service leadership and is comfortable owning restaurant performance. This hands-on leader will build a dependable team, coach performance, and maintain high standards to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years restaurant management experience.
• GM or AGM experience strongly preferred.
• Experience leading a high-volume drive-thru environment preferred.
• Experience recruiting, training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Strong understanding of labor, food cost, scheduling, and cash controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations while maintaining high standards for quality, cleanliness, safety, service, and guest satisfaction.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain restaurant team members and managers.
• Build a positive work environment focused on teamwork, development, and performance.
• Create accurate sales projections and employee schedules based on business needs.
• Manage restaurant financial performance, including sales, labor, food cost, cash controls, inventory and profitability.
• Review performance and implement action plans to improve results.
• Establish performance expectations and hold team members accountable to standards.
• Develop Assistant Managers and other high-potential employees for future leadership.
• Ensure proper execution of company systems, policies, procedures, and operating standards.
• Maintain staffing levels and prepare the restaurant for peak business periods.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety, employment laws, and regulations.
