Five Iron Golf is the country's premier indoor golf and entertainment experience, with 30 locations nationwide and more on the way. Its core mission is to seamlessly meld golf and entertainment, making golf inclusive and accessible for all.

Position Overview

We are seeking a General Manager of Performance. This individual will oversee the guest's golf journey, demonstrate proficiency with golf simulators and equipment, and drive revenue through golf offerings such as memberships, lessons, and leagues. The role requires strong leadership, guest engagement, and operational management skills. The General Manager reports directly to the National Director of Golf.

Responsibilities

1. Hire, manage, and train golf staff, including Assistant General Manager of Performance.
2. Manage P&L for golf-specific and retail offerings, achieving revenue targets.
3. Coordinate with the Director of Instruction to meet lesson and fitting revenue goals.
4. Set and uphold service standards for golf staff.
5. Evaluate staff performance to meet business needs.
6. Build community relationships and foster customer loyalty.
7. Ensure guest satisfaction and promptly address concerns.
8. Maintain proficiency with golf simulator technology and ensure equipment quality.
9. Manage inventory of golf equipment and supplies.
10. Develop comprehensive knowledge of products and services to effectively sell and cross-sell offerings.
11. Organize member events and engage with golf associations and courses.
12. Communicate needs effectively to corporate leadership.
13. Provide excellent account service from onboarding to termination.
14. Maintain knowledge of F&B offerings and ensure quality service.
15. Follow health and safety regulations.
16. Verify guests' legal drinking age.

Qualifications

1. Passion for golf.
2. 5+ years in hospitality, sports management, or related fields (preferred).
3. Strong leadership and communication skills.
4. Experience with swing analysis and launch monitor technology.
5. Positive attitude and enthusiasm.
6. Ability to resolve issues quickly and manage customer expectations.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and during high-value times.
8. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and navigate stairs.

Job Type: Full Time, Exempt

Pay: $60,000 salary + bonus potential ($15,600 annually), plus wages for lessons/clubfitting and incentive bonuses based on performance.
