Hood Container Corporation is seeking a General Manager to oversee the Oldsmar (Tampa) and Jacksonville, FL corrugator & converting plants. You will lead day-to-day operations, drive strategic plans, and manage a large, non-union workforce to achieve growth and profitability.

You will report to regional leadership, guide safety and quality initiatives, and partner across functions to deliver results while maintaining a strong safety culture and customer focus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility and a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
• Financial management, capital management and budget knowledge and ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
• Ability to develop solutions that balance employees and the needs of the business.
• Demonstration of dynamic communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with all types of personalities.
• Adaptability is key in an environment that can be ambiguous and uncertain.

• Lead entire operation of plant including shipping & receiving, safety, quality, manufacturing, maintenance, customer service, sales, HR, and finance.
• Establish and manage plant budget to meet and exceed volume and profitability goals.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement plans that align with the vision and strategy of the organization and your local facility.
• Develop and support local leadership to maintain and improve plant efficiency.
• Continuously keep up to date on current organizational and industry knowledge / practices.
• Value safety as a top priority and work closely with safety department to enhance current safety protocols and procedures.
• Support the “One Hood” integration initiative by work closely with business unit leaders to identify and implement improvements and advancements.
• Develop and manage all capital projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers.

At Hood Container Corporation, we’re searching for a General Manager to oversee our Florida corrugator & converting plants in Oldsmar (Tampa) and Jacksonville, FL. As a General Manager, you will play a high-impact, critical role within the business, supporting 150+ non-union employees. Your plant team members will count on you to provide leadership during the day-to-day operation and will look to you for guidance to establish strategic plans and meet short- and long-term goals. In this role, you will report to the Regional Vice President for the respective region and partner with senior leadership to make an impact within the business and industry.

How You Will Contribute:
