Job summary

Veeva is seeking a General Manager, CMC, to own all aspects of building Veeva’s new CMC business. You will lead a high-performing team and report to the VP of Regulatory while shaping the market with courageous pricing and go-to-market plans.

You will partner with Product and Marketing to ground the roadmap in research, navigate cross-functional teams, and build a robust pipeline through external engagement and industry leadership.

Qualifications

• Extensive track record in enterprise software or top-tier consulting with career progression.
• Experience launching or scaling startups or new ventures in fast growth.
• Proven ability to own or influence business-line metrics and pricing/go-to-market.
• Direct experience with Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls or pharmaceutical development.

Responsibilities

• Define the CMC offering with product leadership based on customer research and market analysis.
• Bridge Regulatory with Quality/Manufacturing to align internal teams on initiatives.
• Lead commercial strategy including pricing, partnerships, and enabling Sales to close opportunities.
• Design business frameworks for new markets and make high-stakes product decisions with imperfect data.
• Apply analytics to market realities, prioritizing speed and simple, elegant solutions over bureaucracy.
• Represent Veeva CMC externally, host customer forums and speak at industry conferences.
