Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands‑on, results‑driven General Manager to lead daily operations at our Charlotte foodservice distribution facility. This role is ideal for an experienced operations leader who thrives in fast‑paced, perishable distribution environments and is energized by building high‑performing teams, strengthening service reliability, and driving measurable operational improvement.
You will serve as the senior on‑site leader, owning facility performance across warehouse production, production, transportation, food safety, and customer service, while acting as the critical link between frontline operations and executive leadership.

What You’ll Own
Operational Leadership
- Lead all daily functions including receiving, warehousing, inventory, order fulfillment, production, and dispatch
- Drive performance against key metrics such as order accuracy, on‑time delivery, productivity, waste, and safety
- Remove operational roadblocks and ensure consistent execution of standard processes
- Maintain a visible floor presence, coaching teams in real time
Team & Culture Development
- Directly lead and develop supervisors and department managers
- Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and safety
- Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and workforce performance
- Coach leaders to improve execution, communication, and ownership
Customer Service & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Serve as the operational partner to sales and customer-facings teams
- Protect service commitments and lead resolution of service failures
- Translate customer needs into clear operational execution
- Strengthen collaboration across operations, sales, logistics, and procurement
Transportation & Delivery Performance
- Oversee dispatch, routing, and driver productivity
- Ensure on time, accurate deliveries and regulatory compliance
- Improve route efficiency and cost control while maintaining service standards
Food Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Maintain strict adherence to HACCP, sanitation, and regulatory standards
- Protect product integrity, temperature control, and traceability
- Lead corrective actions for quality or safety risks
Executive Partnership
- Provide clear reporting on performance, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Translate strategic priorities into facility‑level execution
- Contribute to planning, investment decisions, and operational strategy

Qualifications
- 7+ years of senior operational leadership in foodservice distribution, wholesale distribution, or food manufacturing
- 3+ years leading supervisors or department managers
- Proven success managing warehouse, production, and transportation in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong background in process discipline, KPIs, and continuous improvement
- Experience with food safety and regulatory compliance
