Role Overview

The Good Eating Company is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of General Manager to support our client in San Jose, California.

The General Manager will lead a multi-faceted operation that includes two cafés, catering, vending, and pantry programs, with a frontline team of 20 employees and 4 managers. We are passionate about providing delectable, fresh food. Our pride lies in crafting imaginative and well-balanced dishes daily, guided by a straightforward philosophy: collaborating with forward-thinking organizations that value their members and seek exceptional, creative dining experiences.

What You'll Do
  • The TGEC liaison with the client and owner of client relationships
  • Coordination with internal TGEC resources to deliver a seamless experience for client employees
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
  • Mentor a solid team who share the same level of commitment and passion for hospitality: quality presentation, customer service, professionalism
  • Demonstrate diplomatic skills to work with customers and clients from around the world

What You Bring
  • A strong background in hospitality and restaurants, with a genuine passion for sharing that with staff and clients
  • Work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for high-level customer service
  • Experience in front and back of house operations, including food, bar, and beverage service, with superb guest relations abilities
  • Strong communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-changing environment
