Job summary

TerrAscend is seeking a General Manager to oversee retail operations across dispensaries, including merchandising, staffing and patient order fulfillment. You will work with Assistants to drive financial performance and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires overseeing inventory, pricing, cash controls, and KPI reporting to maximize revenues while maintaining a patient-focused experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in retail, restaurant, food, or other service industry with responsibility for financial results.

Our next General Manager (GM)is responsible foreffective performance management and execution of retail operations including merchandising, staffing, and patient order fulfillment processes. The GM works closely with the Assistant General Managers to drive successful business management and financial performance of the dispensary.

Responsibilities:

• Hire, train, schedule and manage staff at all the dispensariesdispensaryto achieve established standards,salesand profitobjectivesas well as customer satisfaction. Ensure that all deadlines are met and take accountability for completion.
• Drive a culture of positive employee engagement with a strong focus on inclusion& diversity.
• Mentors, coaches, motivates, anddevelopsthe team through performance succession planning to ensurecompany’sculture and expectations are exceeded andsupportsemployee growth.
• Ensure effective team communication occurs by hosting monthly dispensary staff meetings,maintainingan open-door policy, and welcoming patient feedback.
• Actively manage inventory, recalls, returns, and pricing to meet cost and sales targets.
• Effectively manage cash controls and financial reporting. Ensure check register, cash outs, bank logs,inventoryand deposits areaccurateand executed according toTerrAscend’sstandards.
• Effectively manage service labor, scheduling, and payroll budget.
• Perform business management operations and analyses such as P&L; develop and review KPI reports for dispensaries tomonitoropportunities and challenges with a goal to maximize revenues and profits.
• Proactivelymonitordispensary profit and loss and develop effective mitigation between actual performance and company budget and projections. Work with managementteamto developinsight asfor business decisions.
• Maintain a general awareness of cannabis and retail trends to help create innovative and adaptive strategies. Work closely with grower-processors to understand and learn about their products.
• Work with the Director of each Dispensary to meet all regulatory requirements. Correct all violations with a sense of urgency.
• Work withTerrAscend’scorporate teams (HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.) to ensure standards are met.
• Oversee all complicacy regulations, safety measures, security issues, and legal matters.
• Partner with Director of Education and Medical Professional to ensure team cohesion,promotesRPh’s feedback, andparticipatesin medical professional quarterly check-ins.
• Promoteopen feedbackfrom retail staff, medical professional team, and marketing department.
• Beanexpert leadin seed-to-sale trackingsystem, POS System, LEAF TRADE, andEcommplatform.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in retail, restaurant, food, or other service industry with responsibility for financial results
• Cannabis experience highly preferred
• Excellent leadership and coaching skills; empathy and understanding of your team; servant-leadership experience
• Previousmanagementproficiencyin high-volume retail with P&L accountability
• Ability to create andmaintaina customer-focused culture
• Must satisfy the minimum age criteria mandated by applicable state cannabis regulations for this role.
• Background Check Required

$66,000 - $71,000 a year
