Job summary

Firehouse Subs is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead one of our restaurants in Tennessee. You will own the restaurant's daily operations, drive guest satisfaction, and oversee food safety, inventory, and profitability.

You will lead, coach, and develop the management team, recruit and onboard staff, and maintain a high-standard, positive culture while ensuring processing, scheduling, and financial controls are executed with accountability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of previous restaurant management experience.
• General Manager experience preferred in QSR or fast-casual settings.
• Strong leadership and the ability to maintain a positive culture.

Firehouse Subs is seeking an experienced, people-focused General Manager to lead one of our restaurants. We're looking for a hands-on leader who takes ownership of their restaurant, develops great people, delivers outstanding guest experiences, and drives strong operational and financial results.

As General Manager, you are responsible for the overall performance of your restaurant—including your people, operations, food safety, guest experience, sales, labor, food cost, inventory, and profitability.

What You'll Do

As General Manager, you'll lead all aspects of your restaurant's daily operations. You will:

• Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable the restaurant management team and team members
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and retain a strong restaurant team
• Build a positive, respectful, and accountable restaurant culture
• Ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and accurate service
• Maintain Firehouse Subs standards for food quality, preparation, portioning, presentation, and hospitality
• Take ownership of restaurant cleanliness, organization, maintenance, and overall condition
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, temperature control, and food safety procedures are followed at all times
• Ensure required food safety and temperature logs are completed accurately, honestly, and on time
• Immediately address and elevate food safety concerns and ensure unsafe food is never served
• Develop and manage employee schedules based on sales forecasts and business needs
• Manage labor effectively while maintaining appropriate staffing and service levels
• Manage food cost, waste, inventory, ordering, and product controls
• Conduct inventory counts and ensure accurate product management
• Analyze restaurant sales, labor, food cost, guest feedback, and other performance metrics
• Develop and execute action plans to improve restaurant performance
• Drive sales growth and identify opportunities to increase guest traffic
• Ensure proper cash handling, deposits, register controls, and other financial procedures
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and build a strong leadership pipeline
• Train and develop Shift Leads and other future restaurant leaders
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and Firehouse Subs brand standards are consistently followed
• Address employee performance concerns promptly and consistently
• Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure appropriate resolution
• Maintain required restaurant records, documentation, and operational reporting
• Identify equipment and maintenance issues and ensure they are reported and addressed promptly
• Partner with District Manager and above-store leadership on restaurant performance and improvement opportunities
• Lead by example and work restaurant positions alongside the team when needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous restaurant management experience required
• General Manager experience preferred
• QSR or fast-casual restaurant experience preferred
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills
• Demonstrated ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining a positive culture
• Strong understanding
