Job summary

Valley Subs of Arizona, LLC DBA Jersey Mike's Subs in the Phoenix area is seeking Store Managers to lead busy Jersey Mike's locations. You’ll learn our signature sub‑making, boost sales, and grow your leadership skills in a high‑energy team environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1–2 years of restaurant experience (at least 1 year in supervision), a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation with insurance, and ServSafe Certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–2 years of restaurant experience (preferred) with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Credentials: Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation with adequate insurance, and hold a ServSafe Certification.
• Availability: Ability to work flexible hours necessary to manage the restaurant effectively, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Business: Own the store’s success by pushing sales, volume, and profit margins.
• Curate the Experience: Ensure every customer receives superior Sub Above service and leaves satisfied.
• Master the Logistics: Manage employee schedules and keep inventory stocked.
• Be the Head Coach: Train the team, develop talent, and collaborate with upper management.
• Own the Outcome: Delegate tasks to shift leaders but take pride in total operation of the store.

What You’ll Do as a Store Manager

• Drive the Business: You own the store’s success. From pushing sales and volume to maximizing profit margins, you know how to grow the business and hit your goals.
• Curate the Experience: You set the ultimate standard. You ensure every customer gets “Sub Above” service and leaves completely satisfied.
• Master the Logistics: You keep the gears turning smoothly behind the scenes by handling employee schedules and keeping inventory perfectly stocked.
• Be the Head Coach: You don’t just manage; you lead by example. You’ll train the team, identify and develop talent, and collaborate with upper management.
• Own the Outcome: You’re a pro at delegating tasks to your shift leaders, but at the end of the day, you take ultimate pride and responsibility for the total operation of your store.

Store Managers are the leader of the store. You’ll manage the operation, support your team, and help create a great environment for both employees and guests.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–2 years of restaurant experience (preferred) with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Credentials: Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation with adequate insurance, and hold a ServSafe Certification.
• Availability: Ability to work flexible hours necessary to manage the restaurant effectively, including weekends.

Physical Requirements

• Capability to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces
• Frequent bending, stooping and lifting
• Frequent repetitive motion of shoulder and elbow to operate slicer
• Be able to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally

Salary:

$50,000/year + up to $20,000 bonus potential
