Job Title: General Manager

Department: Retail

Reports To: Area Manager

FLSA Status: Regular-Exempt

ROLE SUMMARY

The General Manager will be responsible for leadership and supervision of store personnel, inventory tracking and management, achieving key performance metrics, and ensuring the efficient daily operations of the store. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional customer experience.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan and implement strategies to drive service standards and positive sales results
  • Maintain brand standards in visual merchandising
  • Ensure consistent regulatory compliance with all state-specific regulations
  • Review, communicate, and ensure compliance with all company SOPs and assure that any changes are communicated to employees
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs
  • Provide coaching, training, and development to the team focused on company service standards and accountability to meet specific objectives
  • Monitor and maintain store inventory
  • Handle and resolve patient issues and escalations
  • Maintain professional working relationships with business partners
  • Schedule effectively within labor budget to meet the needs of the business
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with four years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service
  • Must have prior cash handling experience
  • Ability to train, develop, and evaluate a team of 40+ employees
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff; ability to uphold confidentiality and discretion
  • Ability to communicate effectively in conversational English, operate electronic equipment, understand safety procedures, and use telecommunication devices
  • Proven ability to analyze data and draw appropriate conclusions to inform policies and procedures
  • Respectful and polite interaction with customers and team members
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid driver’s license and pass a MVR background check (delivery locations only)
  • Ability to pass a level 1 and level 2 background check
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Physical ability to move intermittently throughout the workday, see, hear, and work effectively with diverse patrons and staff
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant movement/traversing throughout the facility, communicating, observing, and operating computing devices; frequently manipulating objects up to 50 lbs; occasionally remaining seated.

WORK SCHEDULE

45+ hours weekly with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
