Sheltair Aviation seeks a General Manager to oversee all aspects of the FBO at a base location in Orlando, FL. You will manage customer relations, line operations, accounting, safety programs and P&L responsibility, while leading a team of supervisors and staff to deliver high-level aviation support services.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Business or Aviation Management and at least 3 years of aviation management experience, with strong leadership, negotiation, and customer-focused
The General Manager oversees all aspects of the FBO including customer relations, line operations, accounting, health, safety and environmental functions. Plans, directs and coordinates activities for the sale and provision of general aviation support services such as fuel, hangar and office rental, and P&L responsibility for a base location. Manages and directs activities of subordinate supervisors and employees at the location. The General Manager will promote a positive team environment to better serve our customers.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Aviation Management or related field preferred, YEARS OF EXPERIENCE related experience and/or training with at least three (3) years related general aviation management experience. Applicant must demonstrate the following core competencies: entrepreneurship, change leadership, negotiation and influence, business acumen, operational decision making, customer orientation, driving for results, managing and measuring work, interpersonal skills and superior ability to positively relate and communicate to customers. Must be able to read, write, and understand the English Language. Bi-lingual ability preferred (Spanish, Portuguese and French) Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and web based applications. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass airport security badge background check.
