Job description

Atrium Home Services is a rapidly growing residential home services platform with locations throughout the Midwestern United States. In support of our growth strategy, we are looking to hire experienced managers with operating experience within our trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical & Sewer) in our St. Louis Location, Anton’s Plumbing, Heating/Cooling and Energy Experts. The General Manager will be primarily responsible for driving the operational cadence of the division, driving the division’s sales growth efforts, and managing the P&L outcomes for the business unit.

In this General Manager role, we seek a candidate with 5-7 years of managerial experience, preferably in residential trades. The ideal candidate should have a proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team within a multi-site or multi-trade business environment. Strong skills in utilizing metrics to manage operations and identifying opportunities for improvement are essential. This position offers the opportunity to engage in high-level strategic discussions about the future direction of our service business. Exceptional communication and demonstrated leadership abilities are critical for success in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of managers and associates located in multiple geographic locations.
  • Lead reviews of geographic centered business units and their associated commercial functions.
  • Working with the Division Controller, be the principal advisor to the Division President regarding operational performance and progress of the division.
  • Direct staff members in sales, service, installation, warehouse, fleet, call center, and dispatch.
  • Monitor staff performance to ensure that daily revenue and margin targets are met for sold work.
  • Build individual capability to help individuals grow their personal contributions to our business.
  • Monitor employee engagement levels and promote a healthy work environment.
  • Train and advise staff members on how to deliver top service and gain repeat business.
  • Establish customer satisfaction metrics, evaluate performance, and coach staff to success.
  • Ensure sufficient staff levels to meet ongoing customer demand and plan for seasonal variability.

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • A successful candidate will effectively have and/or demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Prior managerial experience in a relevant residential services business is required; 5-7 years is preferred.
  • Strong formal and informal leadership skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to mentor front line managers and coach technicians of all skill levels.
  • Experience with Nexstar Service System and Service Titan is a plus.
  • Knowledge of localized marketing and customer acquisition methods for in-home sales opportunities.
  • Ability to use KPIs to drive the activity and performance of the team.
