Mackinnon Bruce International is seeking a General Manager for a refrigerated logistics 3PL environment. You will oversee multiple warehouses, ensure safety, sanitation, and customer satisfaction while driving continuous improvement and staff development.

Responsibilities include training, performance management, RF inventory control, and coordinating with IT to maximize WMS efficiency across locations. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management preferred.

We are recruiting for a 3PL company providing refrigerated logistics services for the food industry. They operate refrigerated and non-refrigerated warehouses for storage needs but also Value-Added Services such as specialty packing, kitting and fulfillment needs.

The General Manager is directly responsible for the overall performance of one or multiple facilities and all of the employees reporting to them. This manager will ensure the following: safe work environment, exceptional sanitation, respectful and dignified treatment with all persons within the workplace, deliver quality performance through developing a culture where employees excel, relentlessly strive for improvement, anticipating issues and creatively solving problems and maintaining customer relations.

Task Specifics:

• Create and maintain a safety culture that promotes a safe work environment while adhering to OSHA regulations, food safety regulations, employment laws, and our Midwest Values.
• Ensure all employees are trained on the SOP's
• Foster engagement with all employees creating a culture of inclusion, skill development and a sense of community that mirrors the Midwest Values
• Customer Relationship Management which includes the onboarding of new customers, executing all customer requirements and resolving customer complaints and issues. In addition, conduct regular business reviews with the customer to ensure performance metrics are achieved as well as discuss new service opportunities with the customer.
• Training of employees
• Providing productive feedback to subordinates and establishing development plans
• Initiates and administers appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary
• OS & D and claim investigation
• Resolve customer, carrier, and driver issues
• Attend and coordinate management team meetings
• Refrigeration Systems oversight
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and communicate relative information throughout the company
• Maintain & full utilize IT Systems for multiple locations
• Review of incident and near-miss investigations
• Ability to identify WMS system issues and work with IT for resolution. Maximize system capabilities to ensure optimum efficiencies throughout the warehouse
• Review, approve and provide appropriate G/L code of charges prior to invoicing
• Ensure that all job functions have sufficient backup
• Participate in off-hours meetings and trainings

Prerequisites

• Bachelor's degree or Business Management degree preferred
• Experience operating forklift or pallet jack (preferred)
• Previous experience managing teams in a warehouse environment (preferred)
• Previous experience with RF controlled inventory systems
• Previous experience handling food products (preferred)
