Job summary

Applebee’s is hiring a General Manager to lead restaurant operations and drive guest satisfaction and profitability. You will direct day-to-day activities, oversee managers and staff, and ensure top standards of quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.

The role requires 2+ years of foodservice management experience, a HS diploma or GED, and may prefer ServeSafe certification. Strong communication with employees and leadership teams is essential.

Job Summary

The General Manager contributes to the success of Applebee's through the direction and control of restaurant operations to ensure a positive guest experience and company profitability. The General Manager’s responsibility is to direct the operation of the restaurant, attain sales and profit objectives, and maintain the highest standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation by directing and supervising managers and team members.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of foodservice management experience; QSR or casual dining GM experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and carry items up to 70 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods (up to an entire shift)
• Bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull regularly for operations, stocking, and equipment use
• Use ladders occasionally
• Work in varying environments including hot kitchen areas and walk‑in coolers/freezers
• Communicate clearly with employees, guests, vendors, and leadership teams
