Position: General Manager – 3PL Fulfillment & Distribution Center

Location: Duluth, GA

Facility Size: 250,000 sq. ft.

Reports to: SVP of Operations

Job Summary

The General Manager oversees daily operations of a high-volume 3PL fulfillment and distribution center, focusing on facility performance, labor management, client satisfaction, operational efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement. This role is the primary on-site leader, responsible for operational excellence and fostering a positive, performance-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage all warehouse, fulfillment, and shipping/receiving operations.
2. Oversee labor planning, productivity, and performance.
3. Ensure client SLAs and KPIs are met or exceeded.
4. Implement operational improvements using lean practices and KPIs.
5. Collaborate with Client Services, IT, HR, and Finance departments.
6. Maintain safety and cleanliness standards; lead safety meetings and compliance checks.
7. Manage budgets, staffing, and resources to meet financial goals.
8. Address client issues and coordinate with Client Services for resolution.
9. Coach and develop team members; build bench strength.
10. Support WMS utilization, report accuracy, and process adherence.
11. Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives and projects.

Qualifications

1. 5+ years leadership experience in distribution, fulfillment, or 3PL.
2. Understanding of labor management, process flow, and warehouse systems.
3. Proven team leadership and change management skills.
4. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
5. Experience with client-facing roles focusing on service delivery.
6. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
7. Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
