Job summary

Riser Fitness is seeking a General Manager for our studio in California. You will oversee all functions from sales to instructors, drive membership growth, and hire/train Sales Associates. You will manage four revenue streams and utilize ClubReady for reporting and analytics.

The role requires strong English communication, leadership, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, service-focused environment. Base salary starts around $68,000–$70,000 with potential total comp up to $86,000–$88,000

Qualifications

• 2+ years in retail/service sales or fitness sales.
• Confident in generating personal sales and training others.
• Ability to manage four revenue streams: memberships, retail, private training, teacher training.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to thrive in a fast-changing, diverse environment.
• Strong judgment for identifying improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation including Grass Roots Marketing and Networking.
• Implement sales process to schedule prospects into Intro classes.
• Ensure studio retail/products have accurate inventory counts.
• Train and supervise Sales Associates.
• Hire/manage instructors at the studio.
• Generate revenue reports using ClubReady.
• Mentor and discipline instructors as needed.
• Make high-level customer service decisions independently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Pilates Studio.
• Enforce Club Pilates policies and procedures.
• Ensure all forms and studio literature are stocked.
• Schedule and participate in networking/community events and studio promotions.
• Strategically manage marketing campaigns to generate leads.

Riser Fitness, established in 2013, is a multi-unit operator and developer of the Club Pilates franchise system. Riser Fitness is one of the largest and longest operating franchisee.

Position

The General Manager will oversee all studio functions from sales to instructors. They will lead all sales efforts; drive membership growth and endeavor to prevent member attrition. The General Manager will hire, train and manage Sales Associates within their studio.

The General Manager will utilize discretion and independent judgment in managing the studio and directing the work of employees.

Requirements

• 2+ years of retail/service sales or fitness sales experience
• Confident in generating personal sales and training Sales Associates in sales
• Ability to manage and drive 4 revenue streams: memberships, retail, private training, and teacher training
• Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone and via email
• Ability to excel in a fast changing, diverse environment
• Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgement
• An affinity and passion for fitness
• Solid writing and grammar skills
• Highly organized, proficient in data management, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

• Schedule and participate in networking/community events and studio promotions
• Strategically manage marketing campaigns to generate leads for the studio
