Job Description

About the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities - Tiffin Developmental Center:

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) offers statewide supportive services focusing on health, safety, community participation, and employment for individuals with developmental disabilities.

What you will do as a Maintenance Repair Worker 2:

The Maintenance Department maintains a safe, comfortable environment across an 80-acre campus with residential, support buildings, and outdoor spaces. Responsibilities include:

• Carpentry
• Minor electrical work
• Minor plumbing work
• Groundskeeping (mowing, landscaping, snow removal)
• Concrete work
• Painting
• Delivery

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), working from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid meal break, scheduled every 3rd weekend.

Qualifications

Formal education in arithmetic and English, with 6 months of maintenance repair experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The role is classified as unskilled labor and exempt from written examination.
