Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking a skilled technician to support daily fabrication and prototyping operations, performing hands-on maintenance and shop support tasks. You will prepare and organize work areas, stage materials, and complete finishing tasks such as deburring, sanding, and cleaning components to support final assembly. Salary Statement

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $20.85/Hr. - USD $34.73/Hr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Five (5) or more years of hands‑on maintenance, fabrication shop support, or industrial operations experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated experience performing general maintenance and shop support tasks in a fabrication or production environment
• Experience performing deburring, sanding, cleaning, and finishing of machined or fabricated components to support final assembly and quality standards
• Experience providing shop support and staging, including preparing work areas, organizing materials, and supporting fabrication workflows
• Experience performing preventive and minor corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and portable power tools
• Experience maintaining industrial, work, and material‑storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition, supporting production readiness
• Experience supporting logistics and stockroom operations, including material movement, staging, and basic stockroom transactions
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings, layouts, or equipment instructions
• Ability to safely use standard hand tools, power tools, deburring tools, and maintenance equipment

Desired Skills

• Experience supporting maintenance or fabrication tasks within DoD facilities, Navy production shops, or prototyping environments
• Experience performing part finishing operations on machined, welded, sheet‑metal, or composite components
• Experience supporting material movement, staging, receiving, and inventory control within a production or prototyping facility
• Experience assisting with maintenance on fabrication shop equipment, machining centers, CNC machines, assembly benches, or test areas
• Familiarity with HAZMAT practices, PPE usage, and industrial‑shop safety requirements as outlined in the PWS compliance section

Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
