Butler University seeks a General Maintenance Worker to assist with repairs and projects under the general direction of the Structures Supervisor. This position is scheduled for 1st shift, 7 am - 3:30 pm, with potential for flexible shifts.
Under the supervision of the Structures Supervisor, the General Maintenance Worker repairs cabinets, counters, shelves, tables, and miscellaneous furniture; replaces and repairs doors, closures, and locks; and alters and repairs various building structures such as walls, partitions, doorways, windows, frames, stairways, masonry, and roofs. The role includes installing window glass and screens, applying wall and floor coverings, and installing and repairing ceramic and other tiles. Routine electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs may be performed when integral to the repair or installation tasks. The worker also guides less experienced staff.
