Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to join our operations at SISTERS OF MERCY. The role involves serving as a problem-solver and safety promoter, applying technical skills to meet maintenance needs, and contributing to a safe, productive worksite.

We require 2+ years of related experience, and possession of relevant city/state licenses or certifications. The position offers varied shifts and a comprehensive benefits package in a full-time capacity.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing.
• Change light bulbs, install paper dispenser units, change filters, change door locks, perform minor decorative maintenance and other tasks not requiring a licensed tradesperson.
• Attend work and show up on time for scheduled shifts with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned based on client requirements.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $22.00 per hour - $22.00 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a General Maintenance Worker at Sodexo, you are a problem-solver and safety promoter. Your knowledge and technical skills are critical to meet maintenance needs. By keeping others safe, your actions have meaningful impact.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing.
• Performs tasks such as but not limited to changing light bulbs, installing paper dispenser units, changing filters, changing locks on doors, minor decorative maintenance and other tasks not requiring a licensed skilled trades person or journeyman
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

• Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.

• Hold appropriate license/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state in which the work will be done.
