Job summary

SodexoMagic is seeking a General Maintenance Worker at Huston-Tillotson University to support campus facilities with timely repairs and preventive maintenance.

You will perform multi-trade tasks, promote safety, and respond to maintenance needs across plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and related services, while adhering to schedule and site requirements. 2+ years of related experience and appropriate licenses/certifications are preferred for this role.

• Hold appropriate license/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state of work.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas (plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical, or vehicle servicing).
• Change light bulbs, install paper dispenser units, change filters, change locks, minor decorative maintenance.
• Attend shifts on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties as assigned per account requirements.

Workdays/shifts: Varying shifts, days/hours, and some weekends/holidays. More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $9.00 per hour - $24.00 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a General Maintenance Worker at SodexoMagic, you are a problem-solver and safety promoter. Your knowledge and technical skills are critical to meet maintenance needs. By keeping others safe, your actions have meaningful impact.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing.

• Performs tasks such as but not limited to changing light bulbs, installing paper dispenser units, changing filters, changing locks on doors, minor decorative maintenance and other tasks not requiring a licensed skilled trades person or journeyman

• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity

• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
