Salary: $32 - $38 per hour
Job Details
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Performing preventive and scheduled maintenance on production machinery.
- Working with motors, conveyors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, engines, and other industrial equipment.
- Diagnosing equipment failures and replacing worn or defective components.
- Installing and modifying equipment according to engineering plans and specifications.
- Troubleshooting single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
- Reading electrical schematics, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Performing welding and metal fabrication, including electric arc welding.
- Using oxy/acetylene equipment for cutting applications.
- Safely operating hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and other maintenance equipment.
- Identifying potential equipment or facility hazards and addressing maintenance concerns.
- Supporting other maintenance technicians and providing backup leadership when the shift lead is unavailable.
- Following all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and environmental procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical or vocational training in mechanical maintenance or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
- Welding and oxy/acetylene torch experience.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and provide leadership when needed.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to distinguish colors and identify color-coded facility systems.
