Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking a General Maintenance Technician responsible for performing diverse maintenance tasks related to building and facilities upkeep. The role involves troubleshooting systems such as HVAC and plumbing, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and maintaining accurate records. Suitable candidates should have a high school diploma and prefer experience in maintenance and safety protocols.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00-3:30pm and work as needed
Summary:
General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of critical task including troubleshooting and repair multiple building/facilities items including, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic tube system, hospital beds and nurse call systems. Ensuring completion of assigned preventive maintenance tasks and coordinating specific craft activities with other Facilities Management team members.
Other information:
• Education - High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• Experience - Experience in building/facilities maintenance preferred.
• Experience - General maintenance repairs, familiar with safety procedures and trained in safe operation of building maintenance equipment and the handling of related chemicals, such as solvents/degreasers.
• Coordination of repairs/work in departments, report status to involved parties.
• Trouble-Shooting and Repairing - Determine root causes of operating errors and repair facilities equipment or systems using necessary tools.
• Ability to provide legible, detailed and accurate information on work orders/preventative maintenance forms.
• Completes maintenance task, facility preventative and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Maintains facility areas including patient rooms and common areas.
• Maintains records, updates CMMS documentation, required maintenance logs, documents, manuals, drawings, PM logs.
• Ability to provide legible, detailed and accurate information on work orders/preventative maintenance forms.
• Report to supervisor on a regular basis (daily) on conditions relative to general operations, safety and day to day activities in the facility.
• Attends daily huddles with team during shift.
This job will be authorized80.00 hours bi-weekly.
