General Maintenance Technician (Davis Monthan Air Force Base)

WinnCompanies is seeking a reliable General Maintenance Technician to join our military housing team at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ. The role involves performing maintenance tasks across various community areas including rental units, office buildings, and grounds, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required for facility access.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance service calls related to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances.
• Complete repairs as directed by supervisors.
• Transport, install, and connect appliances like stoves, refrigerators, and dishwashers.
• Transport equipment and furnishings to job sites.
• Repair and fabricate window and door screens, door frames.
• Remove flooring materials and damaged drywall.
• Respond to emergency repairs outside regular hours.
• Accurately complete all paperwork and update work orders via mobile devices.
• Keep supervisors informed and suggest corrective actions.
• Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service.
• Attend relevant workshops and training sessions.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, flooring, or appliances.
• Own basic tools and equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to read/write in English and follow instructions.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• REAL ID compliant driver's license required by May 7, 2025.

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training.
