Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across facilities, equipment, and systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Minimum of 3 years healthcare maintenance experience or a related certificate/education mix is required.

• 3 years relevant maintenance experience in healthcare setting.
• Healthcare setting experience and/or certificate in building maintenance or combination of experience and education

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned facilities, areas, and equipment including minor plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, painting, heating and cooling.

Job Summary And Qualifications

A Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned facilities, areas, and equipment to include minor plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, painting, heating and cooling and other building systems. An ideal candidate will be versed in many aspects of hospital maintenance and repairs, with knowledge of maintenance procedures, and use of basic hand and power tools. To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills.

What qualifications you will need:

• 3 years relevant maintenance experience in healthcare setting
• Healthcare setting experience and/or certificate in building maintenance or combination of experience and education
