Job Summary and Qualifications

A Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, heating, cooling, and other building systems. Candidates should be knowledgeable in hospital maintenance, procedures, and tools. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Operations

• Physically capable and available for overtime, weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
• Strong problem-solving, time management, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
• Professional appearance and attitude, with excellent organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, reference manuals, and perform minor repairs in various trades.

Quality

• Assess and maintain building systems through surveys and requests.
• Conduct quality checks and maintain areas’ appearance and functionality.
• Follow Preventative Maintenance procedures and respond promptly to work requests.
• Maintain inventory records and plan repairs efficiently.

Service

• Communicate effectively with departments and log work in CMMS system.
• Manage inventory and notify relevant personnel of low supplies.

People

• Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate successfully at all levels.
