Job summary

T5 Data Centers is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support the facilities operations within our data centers. You will perform preventive maintenance, handle minor repairs, and assist with various duties to keep critical infrastructure in top condition.

The role requires the ability to read manuals, operate hand and power tools, and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and candidates should be capable of working in a

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional time management and prioritization in a fluid environment.

• Able to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical manuals and drawings.
• Capable of safely using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with non-critical infrastructure preventive maintenance tasks in the data center.
• Perform door hardware repair/replacement, painting, drywall, ceiling and carpet tile work.
• Handle vehicle maintenance equipment as needed (skid steers, forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Install non-critical hardware (signs, guardrails, shelves).
• Move materials, replenish spill kit materials, and perform basic infrastructure repairs.
• Support Facilities Operations Manager and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

The General Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks assigned by the Facilities Operations Manager. These tasks may include assisting with extra workload and various supporting tasks within the Data Center.

• Non-Critical Infrastructure Preventive Maintenance activities including, but not limited to, the following:
• Door hardware repair/replacement
• Painting
• Drywall repair
• Ceiling and Carpet tile replacement
• Vehicle maintenance (Skid steer, forklifts, pallet jacks etc.)
• Installation of various non-critical hardware (Signs, guardrails, shelves, etc)
• Material movement
• Roll-up door and dock-lock repairs
• Replenish spill kit materials
• Basic infrastructure repairs
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fluid environment
