Job Title: General Maintenance Technician
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

General Maintenance Technician Summary:

PrideStaff is seeking a skilled and reliable General Maintenance Technician to join our team and be placed with one of our esteemed clients in Dayton, Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our client's facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
2. Work within established expense limits.
3. Maintain inventory controls for cost-effective operations.
4. Schedule and complete the “Preventative Maintenance Program.”
5. Coordinate special projects as directed by the Site Manager.
6. Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
7. Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
8. Alert the Site Manager of any unusual occurrences and/or damage within the plant.
9. Maintain a professional, courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
10. Ensure safety standards are followed, complying with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines.
11. Ensure compliance with all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
12. Perform minor and major repairs of the building and equipment.
13. Install electrical wiring and equipment.
14. Maintain and repair equipment used throughout the warehouse daily.
15. Transport small equipment or tools between departments.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven experience as a General Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
4. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
5. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including the use of a lathe.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills.
7. Mechanically inclined.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong attention to detail.
10. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
2. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
3. Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor and indoor settings.
