Job summary

The Dexterra Group is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day upkeep and repairs at a workforce accommodations facility. This hands-on role focuses on maintenance tasks across indoor and exterior areas, including painting, drywall patches, and equipment troubleshooting, under the Maintenance Manager.

You will join a safety-minded team offering a 14 days on/14 days off rotation, 12-hour shifts during rotation, overtime opportunities, and comprehensive health and retirement

Qualifications

• Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities support, or building upkeep preferred.
• Practical experience with repairs, painting, and grounds maintenance.
• Experience maintaining or troubleshooting commercial kitchen equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs, including painting and drywall patching.
• Support grounds maintenance, including cleanup, landscaping, and seasonal tasks.
• Assist with inspection and upkeep of buildings and common areas.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment and appliances.
• Support maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment under direction.
• Complete basic preventative maintenance tasks and checklists.
• Report larger repair needs or safety concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Use hand and power tools safely and appropriately.
• Assist other trades or contractors as required.
