Job summary

Aisin Automotive Casting Tennessee Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance (Skilled Trade) technician for the 3rd shift in Clinton, TN.

You will install, maintain and repair machinery, electrical systems, pipe networks and automated equipment to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and working with PLC-controlled systems.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school, or two (2) to four (4) years related experience and high school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• MUST pass a drug screen, physical, and background check prior to employment

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose machine problems by listening for unusual sounds and reviewing operation.
• Dismantle defective machines and install repaired parts.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical components of machinery.
• Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
• Operate cutting torch or welding equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance.

Position Summary

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe or electrical systems.

Position Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment.
• Installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment.
• Sets up and operates machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
• Operates cutting torch or welding equipment.
• Fabricates and repairs.
• Performs routine maintenance.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Required Skills And Abilities

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail, safety, and quality a must!
