Program Context
Under the U.S. Army INSCOM GILE program, V2X provides engineering, facilities, sustainment, and maintenance of intelligence systems, including new technologies and capabilities, portal management, hardware design, network management, and logistics support to various military and intelligence entities. Our mission is to anticipate requirements and employ innovative techniques to support Soldiers, Civilians, and systems across multiple locations.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and specialized trades such as electrical, carpentry, painting, concrete, plumbing, welding, drywall, door hardware, and ceiling and flooring systems.
• Maintain structures and surrounding facilities, including fencing, gates, lighting, sidewalks, and pavements.
• Support infrastructure sustainment activities.
• Change locks and perform lock servicing to ensure safety.
• Disassemble, move, reassemble, and install facility furnishings.
• Develop supply estimates, gather technical data, evaluate safety procedures, and determine material and fiscal requirements for projects.
• Assist in planning, cost estimating, designing, and completing local projects.
• Adhere to safety policies, procedures, PPE requirements, OSHA standards, ECAP, and NEC safety standards, including fall protection, confined spaces, and chemical handling.
• Attend periodic safety training.
• Lift objects up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work on elevated surfaces, and in various environmental conditions.
• Assist in oversight or escort for contractors during repair or renovation projects.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications: Vocational or High School Diploma with at least 7 years of experience as a General Maintenance Mechanic.

Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with Final Top-Secret Clearance, TIER 5 Background Investigation, and eligibility for SCI access. Some roles may require a CI Scope Polygraph.

Experience / Skills: Troubleshooting skills, effective communication, mechanical aptitude, and ability to evaluate work orders accurately.
