Job Description

This position performs a wide range of skilled maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. The role involves preventive maintenance of tools and equipment and follows federal regulations governing safety, environmental protection, hazardous waste disposal, and the use of chemicals and materials common to facilities maintenance or construction.

Certifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ GED.
• Driver’s License.
• Journeyman Electrician License (must obtain WV Journeyman Electrician License within 6 months of employment).
• Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program OR equivalent technical training/on-the-job training.
• 1 year of experience performing skilled electrical work OR an equivalent combination of related experience, Facilities and Operations/Internship experience, education, and training.
• Preferred: State Issued Licensed in a Mechanical Trade.
• Preferred: Completion of a vocational or technical training program in electrical systems, industrial electricity, or building trades.
• Preferred: Experience performing electrical work in a higher education, healthcare, or large institutional facilities environment.
