Campus Maintenance Specialist

Department: Facilities & Operations Admin - MU5200

Location: MU - Marshall University

Salary Range: $28,777 - $33,094

Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled technical work in maintaining, modifying, repairing, and removing HVAC systems, devices, and related controls.
  • Execute preventive maintenance using hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing devices to make adjustments or repairs according to manufacturer specifications and work orders.
  • Refuel and maintain generators, checking fluid levels, battery conditions, and testing monthly for operation status; perform small repairs.
  • Assist contractors with larger repairs and load testing.
  • Maintain chemical stations for boilers and chillers, checking levels multiple times a week.
  • Troubleshoot chemical controllers and feed stations, change empty drums, and assist in the delivery of chemicals to buildings and/or boiler rooms.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; driver’s license required.
  • Minimum 1 year of Facilities Maintenance/Construction experience or an equivalent combination of related experience, education, and training.
  • Preferred: Tech/Vocational School education.
  • 3 years of Facilities Maintenance/Construction experience or equivalent for certification/ licensing.
