Job summary

MGM Resorts International is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to support daily maintenance and repair of building systems across the property in Las Vegas, NV. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related components to ensure smooth, safe operations.

The starting rate is $39.59 per hour, with responsibilities including preventive maintenance, safety adherence, and escalation of complex issues to Engineering leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Prior facilities maintenance or engineering experience in hotel/resort or similar.
• Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, doors, and fixtures across the property.
• Perform preventive maintenance in public areas and operations facilities to ensure safety and function.
• Follow safety regulations and escalate complex issues to Engineering leadership as needed.

THE JOB:

As a General Maintenance Engineer, you will support the daily maintenance and repair needs of various departments throughout the property. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a variety of building systems and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility components, to help ensure smooth and efficient property operations.

THE STARTING RATE:

$39.59

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Respond to property maintenance requests by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving a variety of issues involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, doors, hardware, fixtures, and general building systems
• Perform preventive maintenance throughout the property's public areas, common spaces, and operational facilities to ensure equipment and building systems remain safe and functional
• Adhere to established safety regulations, company policies, and departmental procedures while identifying and escalating potential safety hazards, equipment concerns, or complex maintenance issues to Engineering leadership as needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Has prior facilities maintenance or engineering experience in a hotel, resort, commercial property, or industrial facility
• Has hands‑on experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems and fixtures
