Job summary

Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology - Okmulgee is seeking a general maintenance worker to support facilities and grounds on the OSUIT campus. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in facilities maintenance or related work. A valid Oklahoma driver’s license is required (Class B CDL preferred).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Two years’ experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or related field.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate power tools.
• Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• Ability to read, write, and follow directives.

Education

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.

Experience

• Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
• Two years’ experience working in facilities maintenance, construction, or related field.

Licensure/Certification

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

• Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license (Class B CDL license preferred).

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
• Ability to handle multiple work priorities simultaneously and work with minimal supervision in a highly self-motivated manner.
• Skilled in construction, roofing, and the operation of construction equipment.

• Must be knowledgeable in the use of power tools.
