Job summary

Mauna Lani – Auberge Resorts Collection on the Big Island invites a Maintenance Technician to perform routine repairs across the resort, ensuring a safe, functional, and pristine environment for guests and staff.

Candidates should have general maintenance experience, a strong work ethic, the ability to lift up to 50 lb, and a passion for hospitality within a luxury resort setting. On-the-job training across trades is provided; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs repair and maintenance work on hotel facilities and supports trades.
• Cleans and maintains assigned areas; responds to trouble calls.
• Checks pool water balance, pH, and salt levels; maintains pool equipment.
• Maintains records for pools and special events setup.
• Assists in setting up equipment for events and maintains equipment for events.
• Must be fast-moving, energetic and able to work on guest-related tasks.

Job Description

The base salary for this position is $25.46 - $29.95 hourly.

This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs across the resort to ensure a safe, functional, and pristine environment for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate will have general maintenance experience, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for hospitality in a luxury resort setting.

• Performs repair and maintenance work on hotel facilities, performs all duties of subordinate positions, repairs, and paints under general supervision. Keeps parts and tool inventories.
• Cleans and maintains areas as assigned. Respond to trouble calls.
• Check the balance of pool water, pH, and Salt requirements. Check and maintain pool equipment for all pools, spas, and water features. Manually introduce chemicals and maintain correct flow rate, filter pressures, and chemical feed rates. Clean and maintain all pool-related areas.
• Assist in keeping daily pool records.
• Assists in setting up equipment for special events, and maintains equipment for special events.
• Communicates at daily function briefings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required
• Assisthigher-rated maintenance team members.
• Must be fast-moving, energetic, and enjoy being on his/her feet all day.
• On-the-job training (OJT) in areas of the different trades.
• Must have a strong ability to work with people, and possess some experience in interpersonal relationships; able to work with people from a variety of ethnic backgrounds.
• Ability to perform with the knowledge ability and skills of at least one trade.
• Ability to lift, and / or carry a maximum of 50 lb.
• Ability to work unassisted on guest related room work request.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Graduate. Certificates of a trade.

Experience:

Prior hospitality experience preferred.

Other:

CPR Certificate and / or First aid training preferred.
