Job summary

The Champaign, IL plant of Kraft Heinz, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine and corrective maintenance on production equipment, install and test new equipment, and perform welding and fabrication tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on production equipment (conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, fillers/packaging equipment).
• Perform welding and fabrication, including stainless work and sanitary repairs.
• Installation of new equipment: moving, leveling, anchoring and test running.
• Complete maintenance on steam, air and vacuum systems, and hydraulics.
• Inspect and safely operate shop and welding equipment; maintain the maintenance shop, tools, and parts; work at heights and in confined spaces.

Compensation Overview

The starting hourly wage for this role is $37.69 Shift Premium of $.75/hr on 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) Hourly Bonus Program

Work Schedule

Flexible scheduling, 8-hour workday, 6 days a week, with overtime. Employees must have weekend availability. Employees may work weekends and holidays.

Job Overview

Perform routine and corrective maintenance on production equipment (conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, fillers/packaging equipment) to minimize downtime. Perform welding and fabrication as including stainless work and sanitary repairs. Installation of new equipment, which will include: moving and setting, leveling and aligning, perform proper methods of anchoring, and test running. Complete maintenance on steal, air and vacuum systems, and hydraulics. Installation or repair of all building fixtures including doors, windows, piping, and some light masonry work. Diagnose and fix leaks, clogs, and mechanical failures on process piping, pumps, and fittings; replace gaskets and seals. Maintain the maintenance shop, tools, and parts; inspect and safely operate shop and welding equipment Will be working at heights and within confined spaces. Performs all other duties as assigned.
