Job summary

WestRock in Utah is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to provide safe, timely mechanical and electrical support in a manufacturing setting. You will perform preventative maintenance, service, repair, and troubleshooting on automated machinery, read drawings, and work with CMMS to maintain equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of electro-mechanical experience, basic PLC troubleshooting skills, and a high school diploma, with the ability to work varied shifts and overtime.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Electro-Mechanical Automation System Installation & Troubleshooting Experience.
• Must be computer literate with Microsoft environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance information by using CMMS.

Job description

The opportunity:

Primary duties include providing safe and timely mechanical and electrical support, preventative

maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution of multiple operating machines

within a manufacturing industrial environment.

How you will impact WestRock:

• Provides maintenance information by using CMMS.
• An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes; motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems.
• Use strong PLC trouble shooting and problem solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical
• Read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Maintain production equipment to a reliable level of production through preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed

What you need to succeed:

• The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair.
• 2-3 years of Electro-Mechanical Automation System Installation & Troubleshooting Experience
• Must be computer literate with Microsoft environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work various shifts / overtime / days per week
• Military training and or Technical School preferred
