Job summary

Riceland Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform daily bag house readings and complete equipment checklists. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance and adherence to safety and GMP practices.

You will lubricate, fuel, and clean equipment, assist with repairs, operate forklift when needed, and document all activities. A high school diploma or GED and related training are required; some experience is preferred.

Job Description

Responsible for the completion of the Equipment Checklist and Daily bag house readings. The list consists of various pieces of equipment, such as legs, screws, conveyors, belts, pumps, blowers and fans that must be periodically checked for belt tightness, alignment, leaks, oil level, etc. according to the maintenance manager.

Job Duties

• Daily bag house readings, and equipment checklist as needed.
• Performs routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning; notifies management of need for repairs.
• Perform light maintenance work and a variety of sanitation duties daily.
• Occasionally operates forklift and heavy machinery.
• Recommend and implement process improvements as approved.
• Consult with Supervisor as needed.
• Work within a team environment.
• Responsible for complying with all safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices set forth by the company and the government.
• Complete all related paperwork.
• Greet and communicate with visitors and represent the company in a professional manner.
• Safety Sensitive Position.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
