The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a dedicated maintenance worker in Louisville, KY. The full-time position involves performing general maintenance services, ensuring safe working conditions and completing work orders efficiently.
Candidates must have 2-5 years of maintenance experience including plumbing and carpentry skills. A valid driver's license is required for this role. Emphasis is placed on professionalism and the ability to work within a diverse environment.
This is a regular, full‑time position working late‑shift hours, providing general maintenance services to the campus. Occasional overtime and weekend coverage may be required as needed. This position may require the individual to respond to emergencies after normal business hours as determined by the supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, or assistant supervisor, within the scope of the job description and training and experience.
Maintenance personnel, by definition, may be exposed to various hazards while performing assigned duties. These hazards can be, but are not limited to, working around electrical devices, pressurized pipes and containers, hot water/steam, exposure to various chemicals, dust, molds, heat, cold, working at heights above six feet from ground level, working inside confined spaces, around power equipment and machinery, etc. While Bellarmine University makes every effort to maintain a safe and accident‑free working environment, potential hazards do exist.
2-5 years general maintenance skills, i.e., basic plumbing, carpentry, etc.
Possess a valid driver's license and have an MVR that passes the criteria set by our insurance carriers.
