HES Facilities is seeking a full-time facilities maintenance technician to service educational campuses. The role involves executing on-site repairs and installations, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks, with a focus on safety and preventive maintenance. On-call duties rotate across shifts as needed.

Benefits include a sign-on bonus of $1500 and provided company equipment such as a vehicle, phone, and tablet. Relocation is not required; travel is not expected.

Job Skills / Requirements

SIGN-ON BONUS- $1500

Essential Accountabilities:

1. Receives electronic, verbal or written instructions to complete work order (WO) assignments on routine or emergency basis.
2. Records start and finish time, provides comments in cell phone specific to actions at job site and in keeping with department policy.
3. Perform various repairs/installations of sinks, commodes, valves and water coolers. Replace damaged water lines, freeing of clogged drainage systems.
4. Minor repairs on HVAC- Diagnose issues, and complete Preventative Maintenance as schedule.
5. Clean Gutters and scuppers on flat roofs
6. Minor window and screen repair
7. Some knowledge of fire alarms or fire safety related
8. Minor repairs of equipment
9. Other various duties as assigned
10. Ability to measure, cut, thread and prepare piping for replacement or new installations.
11. Performs daily routine building inspections, reporting findings to supervisor. Verbal or written instructions to complete work order (WO) assignments on routine or emergency basis.

Other Accountabilities:

1. Repair or replace electrical outlets. Change/replace lighting fixtures or tubes/bulbs.
2. Repair/replace broken electrical switches when necessary.
3. Perform minor drywall repairs, adjust door hardware and latches to perform properly.
4. Perform all general duties to maintain buildings in good operating condition.
5. Replace stained ceiling tiles upon repair of any leaks.
6. Oversee outside vendors when necessary.
7. Obtain any necessary materials as needed to complete tasks.
8. Secure needed supplies or equipment and notify proper person of any additional supplies or equipment needs.
9. Observe and report any unusual or emergency situations to the Manager or Director of Facilities Operations
10. Make recommendations to immediate supervisor about how methods and procedures may be improved.
11. Work with other trades within the Facilities Maintenance Department as needed to complete repairs or projects.
12. Rotate as necessary to cover various shifts as schedule requires by the Facilities Maintenance Department.

1. Familiarize self with Department policies and procedures.
2. Become familiar with property, buildings and systems.
3. Work safely, be knowledgeable with all Department Safety Policies and attentive to all safety talks, special instructions and posted safety signs throughout the work area.

Rotational On-Call for Emergencies on campus.
